LittleBigPlanet is a game—and a game maker—to watch out for.
Yesterday, Sony showed off LittleBigPlanet at its pre-GDC Keynote event. It's being done by the folks who created Rag-Doll Kung Fu. And yes, it is amazing.
You play as a little cloth man. The cloth man can interact with the world in lots of different ways in order to create levels for a platforming game. All sorts of decals, decorations and in-game items can be dropped, dragged, modified and shaped with the PlayStation 3's Sixaxis controller. Every item in the game is governed by physics, and level creators can use this to create wonderful puzzles, obstacles and challenges.
Then, best of all, the levels can be played. It will also be possible to upload levels so other PlayStation 3 users can have a go at them.
